The Bay is another excellent establishment from restaurateur Jim Shirley, who also owns and operates Great Southern, Meltdown on 30A, and 45 Central Wine Bar in Seaside. The Bay is a special place at the foot of the 331 bridge in South Walton County, Florida – it has boat parking, a sandy beach, live music, rustic decks, excellent bar(s), and of course amazing food.
Recently Oli Petit, owner of the Red Bar in Grayton Beach, has remodeled the long-vacant Destin Diner. He’s added his flair for decor to a great central location and has added his usual concern for detail with excellent service, food, and drinks. Moon Creek Studios had the pleasure of following the process, producing images and a website for the diner.
Night photography is fun. I like getting creative with dusk and night photography. It’s a challenge and allows more ways to post process to try different colors and effects. Night photography of homes and commercial building is challenging with so many different types of lighting, you never know what you might get. For me, the crazier, more colorful and varied the better. I love shooting photography for events at night and photography of real estate at night.
I’ve had the privilege of photographing Alys Beach from the very beginning and watching the new town grow. It’s an endless source of fascination with the beautiful natural landscape, construction, and finished product.
Apalachicola is a great trip for a photo safari. There’s plenty to see and plenty to shoot in a compact area. All of the antiques, decay, patterns, textures, food, art and colors of the place lend to fisheye lens fun.
WaterSound Beach is possibly the finest location on the Emerald Coast. The amazing views of the dunes and Gulf are hard to beat from the round window wall of the living area at this Compass Point condo.
Truly a breathtaking home designed by McWhorter Architects, PA, with the Gulf of Mexico on one side and Camp Creek Lake on the other. The home and decks, perched high atop the massive dunes, appear to hover over the coastal landscape, while the pool and lakeside nature walk provide shady relief from the Florida sun. Yes, at present you can rent it.
